CELEBRATION OF THE WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY 2011 The college Environment circle organized a Tree planting campaign to Celebrate the World Environment Day on 06.06.2011


PRIMARY SCHOOL SPORTS MEET -2011 The Primary school Sports Meet was held on 3rd of June,2011 at the college grounds. The Chief Guests were Mr. Lakshman Siriwardana, Retired Director TID and Mrs. Siriwardana. Guest of Honour Mr. M.R. Aluwihare, College Manager11th.




OPENING OF THE G.C.E. (A/L) CLASS ROOM AND LABORATORY COMPLEX The New G.C.E. (A/L) Classroom and Laboratory Complex was blessed and declared open on 30th May 2011 by Rt. Rev. Dhiloraj R. Canagasabey, Bishop of Colombo.



MEELAD - UN -NABI CELEBRATIONS - 2011 The Meelad Un Nabi Celebrations were held on the 28th of May 2011 at the Keble Memorial Hall. Mr. M.A.M. Hakeem, Senior Lecturer, Department of Public & International Law, University of Colombo was the chief guest.



UVA THOMIAN CRICKET ENCOUNTER - 2011 The Uva Thomian Cricket Encounter between S. Thomas' College Bandarawela and S. Thomas' College, Gurutalawa was held on the 21st of May, 2011 at the Urban Council grounds.STC - Bandarawela Batting First scord 282 all out in 47 overs,STC - Guruthlawa Batting Second scored 284 for 6 in the 46.2 overs, STC - Guruthalawa won by 4 wickets. The chief guest was Prof. Mohan de Silva, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Sri Jayawardanapura. Guests of Honour Hon. Chaminda Wijesiri, Mayor, of Bandarawela and Hon. Harin Fernando M.P.



INDOOR GAMES PRIZE GIVING - 2011 The Indoor games prize giving was held on 7th April 2011.The Chief guests were Hon.Chamind Wijesiri, mayor Bandarawela Municipal Council & Rt. Rev. D. R. Canagasabey the Bishop of Colombo.


OUTSTANDING RESULTS OF SHANE LAHIRU SANDEEPA WOLFF Felicitation of SHANE LAHIRU SANDEEPA WOLFF on his outstanding results at GCE (O/L) 2010 Examination. Shane's results has been ranked 1st in the District and 6th in the Island. 7th April 2011.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME FOR TEACHERS.
A Professional Development Programme was conducted by the University of Colombo for teachers at S. Thomas' College, Bandarawela from 28th to 30th of April 2011. ALL- ISLAND UNDER 16 BADMINTON CHAMPIONSHIP 2011 The S.L.A. Ratnayake Memorial All-Island under 16 Badminton Team Championships was held from the 25th to the 28th of April 2011 at the college Stadium.The Chief Guest was Prof. Rolend Abeypala From the University of Colombo.


WELCOME CEREMONY OF THE BISHOP-ELECT OF COLOMBO The College organised a welcome ceremony for Rt. Rev. D.R. Canagasabey the Bishop-elect of Colombo on 9th of March, 2011. On this day, Rt. Rev. Canagasabey also conducted the Ash Wednedsay service at the College Chapel. Rt. Rev. Canagasabey was formerly an Acting Headmaster and Chaplain of S. Thomas' College, Bandarawela.

ANNUAL INTER-HOUSE SPORTS MEET 2011 The Annual Inter-house Sports Meet was held on the 25th of February 2011 at the College Grounds. The chief guest was Mr. Nishan Wasalatanthri a distinguished old boy and renowned car racer of Sri Lanka.
